April 20, 2009
The following new rules
will be in effect May 22, 2009: 

  • No vision or knowledge tests will be administered through a driving test at a driving school.

  • Applicants who have a paper permit and are 16 or 17 years old are ineligible to take their driver's test at a driving school.  They must go to the DMV to take their driving test. 

  • Applicants who have held a paper permit and turned 18 are ineligible to take their driving test at a driving school. 
  • No one over 18 will be permitted to take their driving test at a driving school.
