*When you examine the three training options from a monetary standpoint the insurance discount is the key. We are not aware of ANY insurance carrier that offers a discount for anything less than 30 hours of classroom and 8-hours of on-road instruction (our teen course and what the CT DMV considers a professionally schooled student)
We recommend that you call your insurance carrier. If they require a professionally trained student to be eligible for an insurance discount your options are:
- Enroll your child in the Continuing Education program and pay for 8 hours of on-road instruction - Total cost $695.00
One additional consideration - if you would like to have your child take their driver's license here in Stamford at our location it costs an additional $170 for non-High Ridge Driving School students.
We offer the only DMV offsite testing program in Stamford (2 times a month) and all paperwork along with the written and driving test are conducted here in our office eliminating the need to go to the DMV except for being issued your license after you pass the tests.
