Stamford Driving School

We have two locations in Stamford, and to avoid confusion they have different names.

High Ridge Driving School – 992 High Ridge Rd., Stamford, CT 06905

Stamford Driving School – 500 Summer St., Suite 206 Stamford, CT 06902

Same owners, teachers and supporting staff. Both schools use the same phone number, (203) 329-3030.

Adult Classroom

The majority of the classes we hold at 500 Summer Street are adult classes, both English and Spanish classes.

We've made the classroom extremely comfortable, and we do not think there's a better place to take your classes!

If you are planning on taking classes at the Stamford Driving School, please review the information, it can make your life easier, and answer some FAQs!

Here’s some important information you need to know about taking a classes at the Stamford Driving School

Taking the Bus to Class:

Many students take the bus to our location. The bus stops right at the corner of Summer and Broad streets.

Driving to Class:

Unfortunately, at our 500 Summer St. location there is NO parking. If you park in the lot at 500 Summer St your vehicle will be towed by the building’s owner!

You must park on the street, there is parking on both sides of the street:

  • Summer Street
  • Franklin Street (the street that runs between Summer St and UCONN) at the rear of our location.

See the map below to get a sense of where you can park.

When parking on the street, meters only need to be fed until 7:00pm (Monday through Saturday). Parking on the street is free on Sunday. The Target & Burlington Coat Factory parking lots may close before our class ends, so do not park there.

NO5

Since you must find a parking spot, leave yourself AT LEAST 15 minutes to park, and get into the building. Our doors lock 5-minutes after the class is scheduled to start, so please do not attempt to enter the class if you are late.

If you arrive late and the door leading into the building is locked, or the classroom door is locked with a sign on it, PLEASE do not knock or cause any type of disturbance. For students who follow these rules, we are happy to let you attend the next scheduled class at not charge, assuming the class is not sold out, we hold the classes multiple times a month.
