In the state of Connecticut, there is one mandatory driver training class for adults, and this is it! If you are a first-time driving license applicant, the adult 8 Hour Safe Driving Practices course is the class you must take.

Adult 8-Hour Safe Driving Practices Course Calendar
The 8-hour class is taught in four 2-hour classes, Session #1 – #4. You can take the classes in any order, but you must attend all four different sessions.

This the state-mandated class that ALL first-time driving license applicants must take prior to taking their on-road driving test.

We’re teaching these classes virtually in four 2-hour classes – you can take the 4 classes in any order, but to complete the course you need to attend all four modules.
Note – we ask all students to complete a distant learning agreement to take classes in this manner.

- You will be prompted to select a four class session (need to attend in a different sequence, no problem, just ask!
- Complete your information, make payment, and you will be registered and have an account in our Student Portal
- When you complete the class we will record this information into the CT DMV’s computer system.
